UKHSA Week 3 2022 Report Shows the Boosters are Failing Already
Here’s the latest update to my chart of COVID deaths as a percentage of the UK population based on last Thursday’s UKHSA report.
For a while it looked like boostering was reducing the disturbing trend in the percentage of COVID related deaths in the UK being far higher than the proportion of population represented (i.e. 80% of deaths among vaccinated despite only 60% of the population being fully vaccinated as of November 7, 2021).
I guess Omicron has changed that? As of the data through January 20, 2022 the percentage of deaths among those injected with either 2 or 3 doses has started trending up again and is now close to 70% despite the fact that this represents only about 64% of the population.
Am I missing something here?
(Note - they have “adjusted” some of their reporting, now no longer giving the rates per 100k for those with 2-doses and instead reporting those with 3-doses.)
